Importance of GPA

Not everyone who is attending for GRE knows the importance of GPA(grade point average). It is on the basis of this many universities select their students. This is the most important factor for a international student than his GRE score.Mostly many universities ask for a GPA around 2-3.3.The maximum value of GPA is 4.It is not calculated by any particular formula but it is based on the marks we obtained in the lower levels of our academic career.
According to US calculations GPA points are termed as
4 A High Acheivement
3 B Satisfactory
2 C Minimum Passing
1 D Failure
Many people want to know their GPA.So this is for you.According to Indian subsystem the grades are maintained as
8-10 = 4GPA
5-7 = 3GPA
3-5 = 2GPA
1-2 = 1GPA
Now it is clear, you can make your GPA level. For example if your percentage is 55%,your GPA comes around 2.8 to 3(it is basically 3 but average is taken). So guys and gals do check your GPA before applying to a university.

How to apply for a Visa?

What is a VISA?
A visa is a sticker or a stamp placed in the passport of an individual which is regarded as a permission to enter into a new country for a period of time.It may be a single-entry or a multiple-entry.
There are two types of Visas.one is Immigrant visa(permanent residents in the united states) and non-immigrant visas(non-permanent residents).Normally students who want to pursue their master's come under non-immigrants and their quota is named as "F" visa. Those going for vocational studies come under "M" type.
How to apply for a VISA?
Students leaving to united states need to hold a F-1 visa. The documents that you need to enclose while attending a visa interview with a duly filled Visa form are as follows
Admit letter - > It is sent to you by the university, which granted the admission to you.
Passport - > A valid Passport.
Fee - > As mentioned the visa form.
Academic papers - > You need to carry all your academic documents that you achieved in your life.
SOP - > Statement Of Purpose is the main one where you should be able to deliver your words why you chosen the particular course in that university and all.
Financial Documents - > These financial documents are like the university tution fees,IT returns,Bank account, property documents listed by a chartered accountant and they must be original documents

Reasons for Visa rejections:

The main two reasons for the visa rejections for the people who apply is that they fail to convince the visa officer that he/she might not return to their locations back and lack of sufficient funds.
